· Pialligo Harvest is a working farm. Visitors agree that by entering the farm, they irrevocably and unconditionally agree to do so at their own risk. Whilst we encourage children to experience picking their own vegetables, adults who bring children to the farm irrevocably and unconditionally agree that they are wholly responsible for the care, supervision, actions and the safety of the children.
· Entry to the farm is on open days only. Other times are by appointment only. Entry to farm outside these times is not permitted.
• Snakes. Please be advised that there is the risk of snakes around the picking zone and to be aware at all times.
· While entry to the farm is free, any produce hand-harvested can be bought using cash or EFTPOS.
· The safety of our visitors and staff is a high priority and a responsibility shared by every person visiting the farm. Inconsiderate, unsafe and/or rude behaviour will not be tolerated.
· We recommend you wear appropriate, closed in shoes (no heels or thongs), sunscreen and a hat. The walkways are narrow and with uneven ground. It can get muddy and slippery under foot out in the fields.
· We pride ourselves on being as sustainable as possible and we encourage our visitors to bring your bags/buckets for picking wherever possible. We also have buckets available which you are able to use if you are unable to bring your own.
· Please be advised that there are active bee hives located on the farm. If you have allergies, be sure to bring appropriate medicines (EpiPen, antihistamine).
· Visitors are not permitted to use or climb on any farm equipment. Do not enter the hay shed or any other building at any time for your own safety.
· You are not permitted to venture into any other garden plot apart from the Pialligo Harvest designated areas as advised on arrival.
· You must pay for whatever you pick.
· Treat our plants with care. Do not step on the plants or over the plants to avoid unnecessary damage. Remain on walkways at all times. Please ask our staff for tips on how to pick produce without damaging plants.
· No pets are allowed on the farm.
· Please drive slowly and with care upon entry and exit from the farm.
· Be courteous to employees and those picking around you.
· Do not cross under the ropes/flags.
· Do not drink from water tanks.
· Do not litter or leave rubbish in fields.
· No smoking.
· If you are observed breaking any of the rules, you and your group will be required to pay for what has been picked and leave the property immediately and you will not be allowed to return.
· We offer pick your own as an experience and will continue to do so providing we have your support in caring for our plants and abiding by these simple rules.
Happy Picking!
