· Pialligo Harvest is a working farm. Visitors agree that by entering the farm, they irrevocably and unconditionally agree to do so at their own risk and agree to abide by the terms and conditions of pick your own. These rules and guidelines help ensure a safe experience for everyone while minimising the risk of damage and injury.
· Watch your step. The farm is full of natural terrain. Some areas of the farm may have rough or uneven surfaces, hidden holes and static farming equipment. Always be aware of your surroundings as you walk to avoid tripping or stumbling. Be mindful of your footing, particularly in wet or muddy conditions.
If you see any safety hazards, such as holes in the ground, uneven surfaces or damaged equipment, report them to farm staff immediately. Your safety is our priority.
· Children. Whilst we encourage children to experience the picking process, adults who bring children to the farm irrevocably and unconditionally agree that they are wholly responsible for the care, supervision, actions and the safety of the children. Keep them close and supervised to ensure their safety.
· Snakes. Please be advised that there is the risk of snakes around the picking zone and to be aware at all times.
· Stay on Designated Paths. Treat our plants with care. Remain on walkways at all times. DO NOT step on the plants or cross over walkways/plants to gain access to another line. This is to avoid unnecessary damage. If you are seen doing this, you will pay for what you have picked and will be asked to leave. Please ask our staff for tips on how to pick produce without damaging plants. Do not cross under the ropes/flags and follow directions of staff at all times.
· Farm Entry. Entry to the farm is on open days only. Other times are by appointment only. Entry to farm outside these times is not permitted.
· While entry to the farm is free, any produce hand-harvested can be bought using cash or EFTPOS.
· You must pay for whatever you pick.
· The safety of our visitors and staff is a high priority and a responsibility shared by every person visiting the farm. Inconsiderate, unsafe and/or rude behaviour will not be tolerated.
· We recommend you wear appropriate, closed in shoes (no heels or thongs), sunscreen and a hat. The walkways are narrow and with uneven ground. It can get muddy and slippery under foot out in the fields.
· We pride ourselves on being as sustainable as possible and we encourage our visitors to bring your bags/boxes for packing produce picked wherever possible.
· Visitors are not permitted to use or climb on any farm equipment and hay bales. Do not enter any farm buildings at any time for your own safety.
· You are not permitted to venture into any other garden plot apart from the Pialligo Harvest designated areas as advised on arrival.
· No pets are allowed on the farm.
· Please drive slowly and with care upon entry and exit from the farm.
· Be courteous to employees and those picking around you.
· Do not drink from water tanks.
· Do not litter or leave rubbish in fields.
· No smoking.
· If you are observed breaking any of the rules, you and your group will be required to pay for what has been picked and leave the property immediately and you will not be allowed to return.
· We offer pick your own as an experience and will continue to do so providing we have your support in caring for our plants and abiding by these simple rules.
Happy Picking!
